Stay away from any cranberries that are going soft — as they always say: “a very firm cranberry is the very best cranberry!”
Some cranberries might be a bit whitish in places, and that's totally fine, but avoid any that are still green; the darker the scarlet color, the better.
Cranberries are pretty robust, so they just need a good couple of rinses in running water, and then you're good to go.
Keep your berries in the fridge, they'll turn quick if left out!
You can also store cranberries in the freezer without any affect once they come out.
