Look for firm ginger roots, with smooth, unwrinkled skins.
Keep an eye out for major blemishes on the surface of the root.
The best way to remove the skin from your root is to use the edge of a spoon to simply scrape off the tender skin.
Once cut, store your ginger in the fridge — or even the freezer if you won’t use it up soon enough!
