How to choose the best:
Zucchini

AKA: COURGETTE

Touch

When it comes to zucchini, size is a pretty good indicator. For the oblong kind, try to keep them to no more than about a foot in length; for the round sorts, look for no more than maybe 4 ½ inches across.

Past that, look for a nice taut skin — though some are smooth and some are rough and that is definitely not a sign of bad quality — and a nice firm texture. Avoid any soft spots of you find them.

Look for a nice glossy skin and a very vibrant green color across the squash’s exterior
